United Recovery System is a third-party collection agency. United Recovery System is also known as URS. URS collects debts on behalf of collection agencies or original creditors. URS doesn’t purchase consumer debt but they just provide collection services to the creditors or other collection agencies. URS specializes in recovering debts and harassing consumer through various aggressive techniques including harassing phone calls, direct visits, and legal notices or threatening letters and sometime threatening to place negative payment behavior on your credit reports.
If you are with URS you may see some negative items on your credit report saying Collection or Charge Offs. There consumer protection laws those protect your credit history from being messed up by collection agencies. You can contact any legit credit repair company and get those items removed from your credit report. I had number of bad items reported by URS on my Credit Report. I hired a credit repair company to get them removed from my credit report. Now my credit report is clean and my credit score is good enough to get approved for new credit accounts.
